The business was established by former all Ireland winning captain Tommy Dowd and his wife Geraldine in 2001. Originally from Dunderry where Tommy made his mark as the County’s most prominent footballer in the 1990’s he has very strong connections throughout the county.

The business base was originally in Gibbstown, but a move to Athboy Business Park 8 years ago allow Tommy and Geraldine to provide a much wider range of services that include an attended pump service and the provision of coal, briquettes, sticks and gas.

Tommy Dowd Oil operate the filling station on the Gardenrath Road in Kells supplying Super clean Texaco branded Diesel, Petrol and Kerosene from the most trusted fuel supplier in the Country.

This expansion has also increased the range for delivery for home heating oil and fuel supplies for agricultural and commercial industry and the team are now very confident that every part of the county can now be served.
