Home Heating Oil (Kerosene)
Kerosene, also called home heating oil, is mostly used for domestic heating. Kerosene is clean burning, provides a high heat output and is the most economical fuel for central heating, especially in the newer boilers.
At Tommy Dowd Oil we supply quality kerosene, well known for its consistent quality and low sulphur content.
Marked Gas Oil
Gas oil is less efficient than kerosene but it is cheaper. It is therefore mainly used as fuel for farm machinery such as tractors, harvesters, forklifts, generators etc. It can also be used in some older heating systems to fire oil boilers.
We supply Marked Gas Oil (MGO), also known as green diesel, as the fuel is marked with green dye to differentiate it from road diesel.
Tommy Dowd Oil supply only Low Sulphur Gas Oil, which is kinder to the environment.
